After adopting Ralphie at 5 months old, he started to show some extreme shyness and uncertainty of people and his surroundings. I am so glad to have found Alexia at Potrerok9 and her guidance through communicating with Ralphie to work through his fears. Her training style shows a great understanding of how dogs think and she incorporates fun into the training to keep Ralphie engaged. After only our orientation and 2 sessions I have seen obvious improvements in his confidence and our levels of leash communication. With Ralphie being shy, it is an added bonus to be able to meet at PawsNPlay for sessions in a controlled and fun environment. I would highly recommend Alexia to anyone in the greater Sacramento area looking to train or just learn how to better communicate with their dog.

Our eight year old lab was impossible to walk. She would pull on leash and go wild when sighting another dog. We had nearly given up until Alexia gave us the tools to control her on leash. Now we can enjoy walking her and we all are much happier. Who knew you really can teach an old dog new tricks.

I recently sent my 1 yr old Cane Corso to Alexia's Adventure Camp, a 5 day stay, to address some behavioral issues with my shy and reactive Cane Corso. I'm not sure who suffered more from separation anxiety, lol. Alexia text me every day, sent videos and photos to reassure me, and shared what she was doing with my dog. She even created videos WITH my dog to show me how she was working with her for me to continue
at home.

Although the time was brief, I am incredibly impressed with the progress made. Even in a short amount of time, I have noticed improvements in my dog's behavior. We have been working hard since returning home to continue progress forward. And, when I had questions Alexia was quick in her response providing positive reinforcement.

I had a Nova Scotia Duck Toller named Blue who struggled with recalling, especially when distracted by other animals. I decided to seek help and hired Alexia for ecollar and recall training. Thanks to Alexia's expertise and guidance, Blue has made remarkable progress.

I am now confident that I can take Blue anywhere off-leash and recall him without any issues. Blue has become significantly more responsive to recalls without the need for corrections. He now understands to stay close and comes when called promptly. The improvement in Blue's behavior is truly remarkable!
